Broad Reach Foundation for Youth Leaders invites you to the 3rd Annual Fundraising Dinner to benefit youth at risk. The evening will feature the personal heartwarming stories from the kids that have benefitted from Broad Reach. Supporting this event helps foster the self esteem and leadership skills of disadvantaged Toronto youth.
The Broad Reach Foundation for Youth Leaders is a unique community concept:
· The only program for disadvantaged youth in Toronto that combines skill-building, job training, and sailing. Broad Reach offers boating instruction and crucial life lessons…..all on board a 40-foot racing yacht!
· Through on-shore and on-water programs based at the HMSC York, participants learn leadership essentials, teamwork strategies, and the basics of large-boat seamanship.
Through its partnerships with youth-serving agencies and sponsors throughout the Toronto area, Broad Reach has introduced sailing and life-skills education to over 1000 young people with economic, social, and physical barriers since 1999.
2008 is off to a tremendous start with 70 youth already having participated in all our popular youth education program. It is the hope of the program to have more than 350 “at risk” youth graduate by September, all at no cost to the individuals or the agencies that refer them to Broad Reach.

Help keep kids off the street by purchasing a ticket to the Broad Reach Foundation for Youth Leaders fundraising dinner. You will be giving Toronto’s challenged kids a second chance.
· The evening will begin with cocktails and a 3 piece string quartet from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a three course dinner especially prepared by Chef Henry of The Royal Canadian Yacht Club
· Dinner will commence at 7:00 pm
· The kids of this program will speak from their hearts on how Broad Reach has significantly changed their lives, giving them a new direction and goals
· Host of the fundraising dinner is The Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Island Clubhouse, 263 Queen’s Quay East, Toronto, Ontario (foot of Parliament street). Dinner will be held in the historical ballroom of RCYC.
· A tax receipt will be issued for a portion of the dinner
